Chief Herb Faurote, who has been the Chief of the Bloomington Fire Department for the past 45 years, has passed away. Chief Faurote has a dedicated history and background with the Fire service that is much too long to detail in a short paragraph such as this. He will be honored with a Firematic Service at the Moylan Funeral home on Sat evening, June 26, at 6PM, and then a full Fireman's Funeral on Sunday, June 27th, 2010 at 2PM. Fire departments are asked to call County Control if they are bringing a piece of apparatus to the funeral. In addition, each department is asked to bring only one piece of equipment. Any further questions on detail and/or protocol can be answered by the Moylan Funeral home at 845-658-3139.
