We are a small rural fire department serving the approx 1000 residents of the hamlet of Tillson located halfway between Kingston & New Paltz in Ulster County, New York. We handle all type of fire, medical, and rescue calls. Due to liability concerns, we DO NOT fill swimming pools by order of the Fire Chief.

MISSION STATEMENT

(a) To maintain a fire fighting organization, consistent with approved principals of firematics for the protection of life and property within the geographic boundaries of the Tillson Fire District.

(b) To foster interest in all matters pertaining to the volunteer fire service and the welfare of volunteer firefighters.

(c) To foster love of country, good citizenship, civic virtue and self sacrifice, and to perpetuate the spirit which from the earliest days has actuated volunteer firemen in the rendition of service of the highest type in the protection of life and property from fire, without the hope of fee or reward.
